REVELRY EVENTS 2025
WEDDING TRENDS REPORT

We’re baaa-ack! It’s the most wonderful time of the year - trend prediction season. And we’re celebrating by deep diving into what we’ve seen at our beautiful weddings this year, and looking ahead to what we think will be popular in the UK and beyond next year. So without further ado, we present our 2025 wedding trend report. As ever, as rule-breakers and tradition-smashers, we don’t put these predictions together to tell you what you should be doing in 2025 - why copy everyone else? But rather, to take inspiration from the zeitgeists and add your own twist. If there’s something in here you love, take it and make it your own :)

Sartorial:
DROPPED WAISTS

Last year we predicted the rise of the 1920s when it comes to the decade du jour, and we saw that come through in feathers, capes, geometric beading, and dropped waists. It’s the latter that’s found its own niche for itself, with bridal designers adding elongated silhouettes to their offering - for all those short bridal queens. Flattering on any height, and super dramatic.

Sartorial:
CORSETRY

Period-drama style corsetry is on the rise again, with waist-snatching looks for a broad range of gown designs, but interestingly we’re seeing more of the exposed boning come through, which is gorgeous.

SNAKED SEATING

Yes, the trend you’ve already seen all over your Instagram feeds for months - playing around with table shapes and sizes to create something more unusual and more visually dynamic. We’re excited to play with this one for a few summer, outdoor weddings in 2025, but we can also see it working dramatically for indoor weddings when mixed up with other table layouts.

SILVER BELLS

Every metal seems to have it’s moment, we’re in an endless trend cycle between gold, rose gold, copper, silver and everything in between. 2025 is leaning silver. Cool toned and just cool in general, we’re liking the futuristic, modern and unusual ways you can play with this one.

RISE OF RED

We’re super excited to play with this palette for a few weddings in 2025 - red, but not your oxbloods or your burgundies - badass, bold red. Modern and creative, working with a single tone.

PATTERNED LINENS + VINTAGE DRAPING

Ask us any year and we’ll tell you that linens is the easiest and cheapest way to elevate your wedding design - swapping out the restaurant whites for a colour or a pattern, and watch the room transform. This coming year, we’re seeing a rise in pattered linens which we’re really excited about. Until now, patterns like this have been very difficult to find en masse to hire, but we’re seeing a lot more companies jump on the bandwagon and offer playful patterned toile in a wider range.

We’re also seeing more drapery come into play with wedding designs - swags of fabric and vintage bows everywhere. As ceremony backdrops, dinner ceilings and marquee walls.

SCALLOPED EDGES

In keeping with the vintage vibes, we’re seeing a lot more scalloped edges creep through into 2025 designs. We saw a lot of this border design in 2024 stationery and it’s just too adorable not to keep around for another year.

LATE NIGHT FLAT LAYS

This year saw a real rise of the photographic trend of late-night flat lays. You see a lot of flat lays in bridal prep photos - your wedding invites neatly arranged with your rings and your accessories. This trend shows what happens at the end of the night - the polaroids, the spilled wine, the half eaten cake - the signs of a brilliant party. We love seeing how creative photographers are getting with these.

PINK GOES GOOD WITH GREEN

It would be remiss of us, as Wicked fans, to ignore the massive impact that the movie is going to have on all industries, but particularly the wedding world. The popular (sorry) aesthetics of the film are going to mean we see more pink and green combos, which we’re not mad at because it’s gorgeous.

OTHER NOTED NOTABLES

Other little things we’re noticing creeping into 2025 are:

  • Pavolvas instead of wedding cake

  • No first dances (ribbon cuttings for the dance floor instead!)

  • No cake cuttings

  • No wedding parties

  • AI generated wedding tools for inspo + design
